Casino Glossary
Casino words become expensive when they stay vague. This glossary organizes the terms that actually change decisions: RTP, house edge, volatility, wagering, max bet, game contribution, KYC, and withdrawal limits.
Math terms
RTP and house edge
RTP describes theoretical player return; house edge describes casino advantage. A 96% RTP slot is roughly a 4% theoretical house edge.
Volatility and variance
Volatility explains how rough the ride feels. High RTP does not automatically mean a smooth session.
Pay tables
Video poker and table-game variants can change value through payout tables, not just through the game name.
Bonus terms
Wagering requirements
The multiplier is only half the story. You also need the base amount, contribution rate, max bet, expiry, and cashout cap.
Max bet rule
One oversized spin or hand while a bonus is active can create a serious terms issue.
Game contribution
Allowed games are not always efficient games. Slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and video poker can count differently.
Cashier and review terms
Cashier language matters because it controls what happens after a player wins. KYC, approval time, transfer time, withdrawal caps, fees, and payment eligibility should be read before deposit.
- For verification, read KYC Verification Guide.
- For cashier limits, read Casino Fees and Limits.
- For scoring logic, read Review Methodology.
