Bonus-Only versus Deposit-and-Bonus Wagering: A Worked Comparison

CASINO101 • RESEARCH & EXPLANATION

The multiplier and the amount it multiplies must be read together.

What to check

A “40x” heading is incomplete. Find the clause defining the wagering base, then identify contribution rates, excluded games and the deadline. Do not assume two offers with the same headline require the same turnover.

A worked example

For an invented €100 deposit and €100 bonus, 40 times bonus-only means €4,000 qualifying turnover. Forty times deposit plus bonus means €8,000. At 100% contribution those are the required actual wagers; at 10% contribution they become €40,000 and €80,000, provided that game is allowed. These amounts describe turnover, not the amount you must deposit or a guarantee you can finish.

Keep these fields separate

Field Meaning
Base Bonus, deposit plus bonus, winnings or another defined amount?
Contribution Apply after calculating the requirement.
Exclusions An excluded game is not a low-contribution shortcut.

Use the result carefully

These examples explain the conditions and arithmetic. They are not reports of our own real-money testing, guarantees of an outcome, or reasons to increase a stake. Where a required field cannot be verified, record it as unconfirmed rather than choosing a favourable assumption.
