CASINO101 • RESEARCH & EXPLANATION
A dealer’s soft 17 rule is separate from the decision you make on your own soft hand.
What to check
Soft 17 contains an ace counted as eleven, such as ace–six. A table may require the dealer to stand or hit. Read the printed rule and help panel; do not use the appearance of one completed hand to infer a rule that was not tested.
A worked example
Dealer ace–six is soft 17. If the dealer hits and draws a ten-value card, the ace can become one: the total remains 17 rather than busting at 27. If instead the dealer draws a two, the total can be 19. The rule changes the dealer’s completion process, and strategy charts must match it along with the other table rules.

Use the result carefully
These examples explain the conditions and arithmetic. They are not reports of our own real-money testing, guarantees of an outcome, or reasons to increase a stake. Where a required field cannot be verified, record it as unconfirmed rather than choosing a favourable assumption.
